Here are some easy ways to burn 200 calories at home!!
• Gardening: raking leaves, mowing the lawn or weeding for 40 minutes
• Clean out the cupboards at home for 60 minutes. You’ll burn lots of calories with all the stretching and bending you’ll be doing.
• Walk up and down the stairs for 20 minutes each day. You can do 4 x 5 minutes or however you want it.
• Try on all your old clothes and have a runway show at home for 60 minutes.
• Walk your dog for 45 minutes.
• Wash your dog’s fur for 30 minutes.
• Hoola hoop for 40 minutes. If you don’t own one just pretend like it. That’s what I do with a jumping rope!
• Stretch for 60 minutes then take a bath.
• Swing on the swing set at the park for 60 minutes.
• Paint a room for 60 minutes.
• Move around the furniture in your room for 60 minutes.

just tried this yoga routine for the first time and let me say…it’s not as easy as it looks! (i’m also a total beginner at this kind of stuff and i’m as inflexibile as cardboard so maybe that has something to do with it too, hehe)

i still feel great now, though! and i encourage all of you to try it :)

Getting Fit: A challenge for beginner runners or those of you who want to start running.

Week 1: Run one minute. Walk 90 seconds. Repeat eight times. Do three times a week.

Week 2: Run two minutes. Walk one minute. Repeat seven times. Do three times a week.

Week 3: Run three minutes. Walk one minute. Repeat six times. Do three times a week.

Week 4: Run five minutes. Walk two minutes. Repeat four times. Do three times a week.

Week 5: Run eight minutes. Walk two minutes. Repeat three times. Do three times a week.

Week 6: Run twelve minutes. Walk one minute. Repeat three times. Do three times a week.

Week 7: Run fifteen minutes. Walk one minute. Run fifteen minutes. Do three times a week.

Week 8: Run thirty minutes continuously.

Okay seriously noting this for myself. I am doing this when I get back to the gym in a week and a half or so. Yes please!
